Volunteers

It Takes A Village

Safe Haven Rescue Inc depends on volunteers to fulfill its mission to remove horses from the slaughter pipeline and rehabilitate them so that they may find their forever homes in a safe, secure and permanent environment.  Throughout history, horses have shared a special companionship with humans. Our volunteers can play many different roles in supporting our goal to promote the human and horse bond.  You do not need previous experience with horses to volunteer with Safe Haven Rescue Inc.

Benefits of Volunteering:

  • Knowing that you can make a difference in the life of a horse;

  • Helping a sad, thrown away and shut-down horse progress to renewed health and well-being;

  • Being valued for every contribution you make large or small to support our mission;

  • Fresh air!  Lots of it!

  • Working in an environment that provides both physical and mental health benefits because it is serene, safe and supportive;
